On December 19, Craig Ferguson, along with his gay robot skeleton Geoff Peterson and man-made horse Secretariat, will bid CBS and the Late Late Show adieu after nearly 10 years with a very special guest, former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno.

The former late night host, and future CNBC host (“Jay Leno’s Garage”), will help send Ferguson off, along with three weeks filled with some of Ferguson’s all-time, favorite guests and friends like Larry King, The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons and Kunal Nayyar, TV host Cat Deeley, former co-worker Drew Carey. Of course, it wouldn’t be the Late Late Show without the ladies. In December, two of his favorite girls, Kristen Bell, who helped Ferguson host the show on location from Paris in 2011 and Mila Kunis, who joined him a year later in Scotland, will also appear on the show.

A few record-breakers will also be part of December’s guest run, including Tim Meadows, who has appeared on the show the most at 41; Thomas Lennon who has been a guest 30 times; Betty White, a 23-time guest of Ferguson’s and Henry Winkler, a 22-time guest.

Taking a cue from David Letterman, who recently housed the Foo Fighters for a one-week residency on the Late Show, Ferguson (who was once in a metal band called Stag), called upon Metallica to help send him off. The band recently revealed on Twitter that they will help play the Late Late Show off with a week-long residency, November 17-21. Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone that they are playing at the request of Ferguson, with “nothing to sell, nothing to promote…purely hanging at Craig’s personal request. Bring it!”

On March 9, 2015, British comedian James Corden will take Ferguson’s place as host of the Late Late Show with Ben Winston as its showrunner.
