SteelSeries Introduces Rival DOTA 2 Gaming Mouse

If you’re a fan of the SteelSeries Rival as we are AND you big into DOTA 2, then SteelSteries has a treat for you. We took the SteelSteries Rival (my current gaming mouse of choice) through its paces with our review and we loved what we saw. Now the SteelSteries Rival DOTA 2 Edition Gaming Mouse will be available for pre-order after the conclusion of The International 4 DOTA 2 Tournament for $69.99. Sure, the attendees of the International 4 DOTA 2 Championship in Seattle will be the first to get their hands on it, but that’s not too long of a wait, right?

In terms of the SteelSteries Rival’s overall performance, you can always check out our review last year right here for more details. The SteelSteries Rival is fully customizable via the SteelSteries Engine 3 in many aspects such as CPI, polling rate, mouse acceleration, LED colors and game-specific profile assignments. The SteelSteries Rival DOTA 2 Edition differs from its predecessor in its new DOTA 2 look: stone-gray body and side buttons with a “blood-red” rubber grip. DOTA 2 players are further rewarded with a SteelSteries Rival: DOTA 2 Edition Gaming Mouse in-game exclusive: a Radiance-inspired sword called the Hell’s Glare for Doom. Care for a glance? Well…

“We believe that Dota players deserve the best, so we set out to give fans a mouse with a design they would love without sacrificing the functionality they require,” said Tino Soelberg, SteelSteries CTO. “We extensively tested our Dota 2 Edition of the Rival Optical Mouse with professional players from Natus Vincere, Invictus Gaming and Fnatic which has resulted in one of the most powerful mice we’ve ever built – and to make it even more special for the Dota 2 community, we’ve added a unique in-game item.”
