New York Toy Fair 2015: Funko

Pop! Figures

Lastly, we take a look at the vast lineup for Funko’s Pop! Figures. This is the line that most people refer to when talking about Funko. It’s how they got started, and man how they have grown!

Pictured below are new Pop! Figures of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

A big surprise for Funko was the success of figures based on the “Attack on Titan” series and Anime in general. It was an audience that they haven’t really reached yet and weren’t sure what was going to happen. So they released the “Attack on Titan” figures and the response was amazing. Funko is really excited about it—“[the] Anime world really lends itself to the Pop! figure. There are so many distant personalities and traits and haircuts” said Funko.

Video game related Pops are relatively new to the world of Funko. At this point, they are exploring video game related Pops. Sometimes they do well and sometimes they aren’t sure how it’s going to go. With “Evolve”, Funko worked in tandem with Turtle Rock Studios to develop their four characters versus a giant monster. As you can see below, the figures are all proportional to each other with the monster being slightly bigger than the four human characters.

But what Funko is really excited for is Gus Gus and slipper from “Cinderella”. It’s the glass slipper with the cute little Gus Gus. I’m not sure we captured just how cute and sparkly the duo are!

Pictured below are figured based on characters from “Orphan Black”, “Arrow”, “Tomorrowland”, “Family Guy”, “Futurama”, and “Game of Thrones”.

Pictured below are figured based on characters from “Ghostbusters”, “Breaking Bad”, “Kill Bill”, “Pulp Ficition”, “Scarface”, “Sesame Street”, and “Big Trouble in Little China” as well as some Domo Pop! Figures.

Phew! That was a lot of Pop!. All really different, new stuff! Overall, these are figures that people have been really wanting for a long time and may not have known were coming out. 2015 looks like it’s going to be an awesome one if you’re into collecting Funko’s Pop! toys.
