At CES 2022, HyperX made two big splash announcements in their line of gaming peripherals. The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless Headset gives you DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio in a wireless headset, touting 300 hours of use on a full charge. The HyperX Clutch Controller is HyperX’s first ever gaming controller providing wired or wireless connectivity for PC gaming as well as Bluetooth 4.2 for mobile. Aside from those, they also announced three new products that come as updates to existing models.
First, let’s quickly go over those newly announced product refreshments.
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste now has a wireless variant in the form of the 62g HyperX Pulsefire Haste Wireless mouse. The mouse features an IP55 rating of water and dust resistance and sports a battery life of up to 100 hours on a full charge. It uses TTC Golden Micro Dustproof switches which are rated for a lifespan of 80-million clicks while pure virgin-grade PTFE Skates line the bottom of the mouse’s lightweight frame. The mouse also comes with optional adhesive grips for the left and right clicks as well as the mouse’s sides.
The Pulsefire Haste Wireless Gaming Mouse is expected to be available in February 2022for $79.99.
A rehash of the HyperX Alloy Origins 60 keyboard now comes in the form of the HyperX Alloy Origins 65 Mechanical Keyboard. The extra five percent of real-estate gives this model an extra column of keys, allowing for the inclusion of dedicated arrow keys on the lower right. This keyboard features an aircraft-grade aluminum body, 1.5mm thick PBT keycaps and two HyperX Switch variants: Red and Aqua. Each of the two HyperX Switch versions of this keyboard employ laser etched Escape and Spacebar keys that match the color of their switches.

The Alloy Origins 65 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is expected to be available in February 2022 for $99.99.
As for headsets, the well-acclaimed HyperX Cloud Core headset is now offered with DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio. This adds even more quality to the universal headset which is compatible with any platform with a 3.5mm jack. Fans of the HyperX Cloud II demanded more of the once limited pink version of the headset. Now the HyperX Cloud II’s pink model will be a permanent color option for gamers to choose from purchasing this Cloud headset model.

Now for the two headliner announcements…
HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless Headset

The new HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless Headset takes much that signature HyperX Cloud headset build and comfort from its predecessor. However, it is much more than just a wireless variant. The headset rocks a ridiculous 300 hours of wireless gaming on a full charge. Beyond that, the headset houses onboard controls, DTS Headphone:X 3D spatial audio, and a removable noise-canceling boom mic. The headset’s boom mic has an LED by the mic head which illuminates when Mic Muting is engaged. Even the drivers in this headset are upgraded, as the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless now features the 2nd generation of its patented Dual Chamber Drivers. Finally, the headset is compatible with the NGENUITY peripheral customization software.
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless Headset is expected to be available in February 2022 for $199.99.
HyperX Clutch Controller

We have already reviewed the HyperX Chargeplay Clutch for Mobile as well as the HyperX Chargeplay Clutch for Nintendo Switch. Having liked both products, it is a special treat for us to see HyperX making an actual controller of their very own.
The HyperX Clutch Controller is a wireless controller for both PC and Android devices. This controller features a familiar Xbox button and analog stick layout. It comes with a removable phone clip which can either attach your mobile device to the controller or act as a standalone tabletop stand. The phone clip itself is ready to grasp onto devices ranging from 41mm to 86mm in width. The controller uses Bluetooth connectivity for mobile. However, when it comes to PC use, you can either connect wirelessly with the included 2.4Ghz USB dongle or wired with a USB-C to USB-A cable.
We covered our fair share of Xbox Cloud Gaming products here. So, we quickly recognize the HyperX Clutch Controller an obvious candidate for this very purpose, whether it be on PC or mobile.
The HyperX Clutch Wireless Gaming Controller is expected to be available in March 2022 for $49.99.
